You have now entered the download site for the program SyntheticOH.
The program estimates mesospheric temperatures from ground based spectral measurements of the hydroxyl (OH) airglow layer situated at an altitude of approximately 87 km.

The program was developed to deduce temperatures from measurements conducted at the Auroral Station in Adventdalen (78 N, 15 E) close to Longyearbyen, Norway. Close to 30 years of dark sky winter observations / spectra have been applied as input to the program.

The model available from this WWW server is intended for scientific or educational purpose. SyntheticOH is distributed as freeware. You are free to use or modify it as you whish, provided that credit is given. As a consequence, the source code is provided 'as-is', without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied.
