Welcome You have now entered the download site for the program SyntheticOH. The program estimates mesospheric temperatures from ground based spectral measurements of the hydroxyl (OH) airglow layer situated at an altitude of approximately 87 km. The program was developed to deduce temperatures from measurements conducted at the Auroral Station in Adventdalen (78 N, 15 E) close to Longyearbyen, Norway. Close to 30 years of dark sky winter observations / spectra have been applied as input to the program.
