Scientific objectives
Observations of the polar thermosphere and ion-neutral coupling studies, particularly meso-scale structures. The FPI provides line-of-sight thermospheric winds and temperatures in several cardinal directions.

Instrument specifications
Cycles of small angle look directions to the north, east, south, west, zenith and calibration lamp.
Time resolution: 10-30 seconds integration.
Wavelengths: Mainly 630nm emissions (red), also 558nm (green)
Spatial coverage: 30° elevation angle giving a 415 km radius
Detector: Andor iXon EMCCD
Fabry-Perot etalon: 150mm diameter
